submission guidelines

with your submission, please include a few sentences on why you trashed each piece submitted, or why you didn’t give it a chance. we love to hear the thought process behind our writers and their piece/s, which will help to build a community of encouragement and a safe space for you to share your words. any submissions without this will not be accepted as this is published alongside your piece

• We accept poetry, prose, personal essays/memoirs, creative non-fiction, short stories and micro/flash fiction.

• Submissions must be previously unpublished (your personal blog/social media excluded) and we accept simultaneous submissions. We do not accept AI generated work

• You can submit a total of 3 different pieces (i.e 1x poem, 1x creative non-fiction, 1x micro/flash fiction) or 3x poems

• Submit work as a single word doc (.doc or .docx)

• Include a short third-person bio (100-words max) with your pronouns, location (Traditional Place / Country) and social media handles

• We will not tolerate racism, antisemitism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, ableism, bigotry, xenophobia, sexual assault/sexually explicit, abuse, or hate speech of any kind

• We are currently only able to accommodate submissions in English (hopefully this will change!)

• Written work accepted is subject to possible edits. An edited version of your piece will be sent to you for approval before it is published

• All rights belong to the author upon publication

• Submissions are always open and we endeavour to reply to submissions within a month

• Unfortunately, we are unable to provide monetary compensation, though we hope to in the future

• Only send complete trash, none of that unfinished garbage
